Back in October we all started paying a PSO Levy on our electricity bills. It was always on the bill – but had beeen zero for ages. In October 2010 it was set at €3.09 a month. (Inc VAT)
The Commission for Energy Regulation is now reducing this PSO levy by 41% ifrom October 2011 . The new levy including VAT will now be €21.94 per year instead of €32.76 (ex vat). Not often someting is reduced these days!
But – don’t worry – the rises in electricty and increases in gas prices will soon cancel out the small drop in the PSO levy.
