The 2021 Local Property Tax (LPT) liability date is November 1st 2020.
If you own a residential property on November 1st 2020 you are liable for the Property Tax on it for 2021.

The payment deadline will be Jan 8th 2021 for anyone paying the Local Property Tax in full by cash, cheque, postal order, credit card or debit card.
Revenue will send out letters in October 2020 to those who paid by lump sum. to ask homeowners to confirm their payment option again for 2021.

Property Tax Valuation
The good news is that the original LPT valuations from 2013 are still valid for 2021. The LPT valuation band you selected for 2013 stays the same until November 2021 (Unless you think it was wrong.).
Taxpayers will not have to face increased Local Property Tax bills for 2021 after the Finance Minister decided to defer the valuation date for the tax from November 2020 to November 2021 .

Property Tax 2021 Payment Dates
15th January 2021 – This is the date of the first LPT monthly direct debit.
21st March 2021: Single Debit Authority payments will be deducted from bank accounts on or around this date. (
Credit/Debit Card payments: (online only): The full amount will be charged to your card on the day you select this payment method for paying your 2021
