Department of Social Protection – payment arrangements for June Bank Holiday 2022

All Socal Welfare offices will be  closed on Bank Holiday Monday,  6th June 2022
Banks and Post Offices will also be closed on 6th June.

If your welfare or pension payment is due to be paid at a post office on Monday 6th June, you will be able to collect it early from Saturday 4th June 2022 .

All Welfare or pension payments made direct to bank accounts that are due on Monday 6th  June will be paid instead on Friday 3rd June 2022.

If you normally get paid by cheque and that is due on Monday 6th June – it will be posted out a day earlier than usual so you may get it on Friday.(depending on your local postal service)

Childrens Allowance is due on Tue 7th June – and will be in banks on that date. It might be paid early in some cases (Friday) – but don’t rely on this happening.

Important Update – June 7th from Dept of Social Welfare:

A small number of social welfare payments are delayed by one day this week due to a system error. This may impact your payment date.

Some of the payments affected are Jobseekers Benefit, Jobseekers Allowance and Supplementary Welfare Allowance, One-Parent Family Payment, Working Family Payment and Back to Work Enterprise Allowance.

If you are paid into your bank account, the payment will be in your account on Wednesday 8th June.
If you are collecting your payment at the Post Office, this will be available to collect on Thursday 9th June.
If you are paid by cheque on Thursday, this payment will be with you on Friday.
