First Active have introduced a new account offering 5.5% AER. Well – it’s not strictly 5.5% – but you can get that rate for 6 months.
It is called the ” eSavings Plus” account. The interest rate is 5.50% AER variable for the first 6 months – then 5%
Interest Paid monthly. No no interest will be paid in any month where a withdrawal is made.
If a withdrawal is made in any of the first 6 months after account opening, the Bonus rate of 0.50% only will be paid upto that month.
Minimum opening balance of €15,000 (maximum €1m).
