Budget 2014: 9% VAT Rate Extended
The rate of VAT was cut to 9% on various tourism related services in Budget 2013 . Minister Noonan announced in Budget 2014 that this reduced VAT rate will not expire in December 2013 . It was due to increase to 13.5%. The areas affected include hotels, restaurants, newspapers etc.
