When are the Banks in Ireland Open Over Christmas 2024 ?
People are making fewer visits to banks these days – because of online banking, banking apps and ATMs there is less need to go into a bank.
There are also fewer bank branches open than there were even a year ago.
But – for those of you who might need to get to a bank or Post Office in Ireland around Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025- here are the Christmas Opening Hours for Banks in 2024.

- Banks will close early on Tuesday 24th December 2024 and will not reopen until Monday 30th December 2024.
- Post Offices will close at 1pm on 24th December and will not reopen until Monday 30th December 2024.
- Post Offices and Banks will also be closed on Wednesday 1st January 2025.
- Credit Unions may have slightly different opening times. Check with your own branch for confirmation of opening times.
