Some Allied Irish Bank customers might have had a shock if they checked their account balance yesterday AIB announced that they ..
” experienced an issue relating to duplicate posting of Debit Card transactions on the 25th of March. “
On 26th MArch the bank said they were investigating this issue and would like to assure customers that these duplicate transactions wll be reversed as soon as possible and customer accounts will be restored to their correct position.
On Thurday evening at 4pm the bank confirmed that all duplicate transactions on the accounts affected would be reversed. AIB say they ill ensure no customers will be adversely affected.
We would advise anyone who lost out financially in any way because of the error should get in touch with AIB for compensation.
