Ulster Bank Extend Opening Hours
From 7 September Ulster Bank have announced that their branches in Ireland will be open longer : The new opening hours will be
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm
Wednesday 10.00am – 4.30pm.
(Some branches will still close for lunch !)
It’s a step in the right direction – but many UK banks are open 9 to 5 and many of them open on Saturdays too.

Fail to see how UB feel this is worthy of a press release, some branches closed for lunch?latest they will open is 4.30?
I work 8.30-6.00pm Monday to Friday 30 mins for lunch, how does this cater for the average worker who has to take time off at their own expense to do their banking?
Agreed , these opening hours do not benefit the average M-F 9 – 5 worker … Should at least open on a saturday morning.
Alan & John – thanks for the comments.
I agree – the opening times could be better – but give Ulster Bank credit for at least extending them while AIB and BOI stick to the old 10am to 4pm hours and 10.30 on Wednesdays
