Ulster Bank Closing 20 Branches

Ulster Bank has announced it will be closing around 20 branches and sub offices in Ireland and Northern Ireland  in 2013. Full details of the locations involved will not be announced for several weeks.

In January 2012 the bank told staff that there would be 950 job losses – but these were put on hold because of the massive problems caused by the IT system failures in the summer.

There are currently 236 Ulster Bank branches :-  146 in the Republic of Ireland and 90 in Northern Ireland.

Allied Irish Banks closed 44 branches back in October https://www.moneyguideireland.com/aib-branches-closing-today.html  – with a total of 67 closures planned.
