Stephen - these cards can be used anywhere that Mastercard credit cards are accepted - so if Sky take Mastercard you can pay with a prepaid Mastercard as long as you have it loaded with enough money.

The prepaid mastercard can be used anywhere that accepts mastercard - but it will not mean no booking fee on Easyjet. Easyjet only do zero booking fees with Visa Electron cards .

Re the Jervis Gift Card mentioned above, you don't have to buy it in multiples of €5, I just bought one for €84...

I used a Blanchardstown Centre Gift Card several times on Ryanair in December 2010 with no problem.

I used up all the credit and bought another one in January 2011.

The person at the desk made a big deal about the card only working in the Shopping Mall.

She was right! When I went back to Ryanair and entered the details I got an error message: "Issue number can only contain digits". This puzzles me because there is no "Issue Number" field.

My guess is perfectcard have done something to cripple these cards!

perfectcard.ie clearly states that the card is a prepaid debit card, but the small print on the card itself says it is NOT a debit card.

I have just successfully used the "Dublin City Gift Card" to purchase ryanair flights. I bought it from the ticketmaster counter in Jervis Shopping centre (also available from the ticketmaster in St Sephens Green Shopping centre). The card is free to buy and has no fees. The only drawbacks are 1. The card is not 're-chargable' and 2. It can only be purchased in multiples of €5.
When I bought my ryanair tickets online, I simply entered my details in the 'card holder details' section (even though the card is not registered to my name or address)and it worked fine.
Hopes that helps!
