Department of Social Protection – payment arrangements for June Bank Holiday 2019
The Department’s offices will be closed on Monday, 3rd June 2019
If you are due to sign for a Jobseeker’s payment on Monday 3rd June , you won’t have to sign on that day. However, normal signing arrangements apply for the rest of the week.
If your welfare or pension payment is due to be paid at a post office on Monday 3rd June, you will be able to collect it early from Saturday 1st June. Note that all post offices will be closed on Monday 3rd June
All Welfare or pension payments made direct to bank accounts that are due on Monday 3rd June will be paid instead on Friday 31st May
Child Benefit is due on Tue 4th June – and should be in banks as normal on that date.
When an Irish bank Holiday coincides with an EU bank holiday on the first Monday of a month – the Child Benefit payments are processed early . But the 3rd June is not an EU bank holiday – so Child Allowance should be paid as normal on June 3rd.
