Paying Bus Eireann School Fares Online

As mentioned previously – the recent Bus Eireann school bus fare increases have been the subject of plenty of media coverage and general moaning. For many pupils – the bus fares of €1.80 a day are probably quite reasonable – especially when the distances involved can be anywhere from 3 miles to 15 miles.
You can pay for your Bus Eireann school bus pass here. It’s a pity they don’t give a discount for people who pay the full amount now. (It’s 300 per pupil or 2 payments of 150)
To pay online you need to have your Bus Eireann family ID and PIN; both numbers are on the invoice you received from Bus Éireann.You can pay by VISA, MasterCard or LASER
You may still pay for bus tickets by cheque, credit card or cash at your local Bus Éireann School Transport office or over the telephone by phoning a Bus Eireann local office at one of the phone numbers below.

Is that E300 for the year or for the term???
i am living the the tullovin area its just under 2 miles from the school i understand the rules about the transport would be free if i was over the 2 miles i would like to know why can i not pay for a school ticket i am not asking for free transport i went in to pay for my tickets.and was told that i leave to near to the school my children is left to a child minder 4 miles out side of croom in which the bus picks up children and might i add there is one girl in that child minder she gets picked up i know they bought there ticket too, but that girl leaves right next doo to croom n.s.why cant i buy a ticket bus is half empty its not that we are taking some one seat
up to two to three years ago the bus us to pass by the my gate. now i have to bring my daughter a mile and half to bus stop to get the bus and collect her in the evenings and to make matters worse the bus does not collect them till 4.30 every day even though they get out of school at four and three day a week they get out at 3.20 they have to wait for over a hour to get the bus which is terrible for them in the winter with the rain and cold. 300 euro for a very bad service
