its discrimination to the people that do the hard work in this country and struggle to live. I’m strongly thinking of emigrating because I don’t want my children growing up in this country that only seems to be worried about how they look abroad.

I have paid tax since I left school 14 years ago and never claimed a penny from the state. I chose to take two year’s carer’s leave this summer to look after my daughter with CF. My income is now less than half what it was when i worked and I am a single parent with two children. Reducing the Carer’s Benefit is simply ludicrous. I made the decision to take leave as I was tired of being a good employee but a bad mother and my child’s health was suffering further. Why am I now being punished for this decision? I have lost any faith I had in this country and it’s government.

Just noticed today that my carers allowance has been reduced. I look after my dad who has cancer. I can’t believe the government has taken from those who need it! Yes, social welfare claimants are an easy target. Yes, ministers live in a protected bubble with a good wage and guaranteed high pension. yes, once my dad departs this world, I will leave this country and go to England to live and work. I’ve had it with this country and its constant backwards politics.

carers are undervalued and neglected in this country.I care for my father and do a great job of it.Im saving the government thousands a year by doing so.
Then they go an cut my money.24/7 care for a pittance. The government should hang their heads in shame

caring for someone at home, is full time care, and is not appreciated enough, tough on the carer, as their personal life is effected, especially hard after rearing their own family, but chose or no other option but to provide care for love one, or other circumstances. reducing payments, its a disgrace, paye’d little enough! wear and tear of vechile, hospital/doctors visits, shopping etc. caring for people in their own home not only saves the government alot of money… but helps to give the loved one comfort and independence in their own home. cop on government! you get enough expenses paid with your perks on your job. eg. personalised xmas cards E1200! paid bty tax payers money. by the way that was FACT.
