Bord Gais Energy (which is owned by UK-based firm Centrica) has 6 competitors for the supply of Natural Gas to households in Ireland. The other gas suppliers in Ireland are Flogas, SSE Airtricity, Electric Ireland, Energia and Prepay Power .
All the energy suppliers increased gas prices by large amounts in 2022 – but prices began to fall again in late 2023 .
